Dear Friends and Family,
It's absolutely crazy to me that this October marks my fifth year since diagnosis. As the months creep by, I will celebrate/avoid/dread each and every one of the milestones that this diagnosis created. No one, at the age of 40 with two young girls, ever thinks they will hear the words "you have breast cancer". For me, I heard it twice. Both were equally shocking with one worse than the other.
After my first diagnosis, I was absolutely blessed to have met Mandy with Gloria Gemma. Through her, I was connected to this foundation with a bond that can never be broken. I managed to get through that first crazy and emotional year with such grace and positivity because of Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. Not only did they provide my family with meals and support, but I was introduced with an army of young survivors who gave me the emotional support I needed. The foundation provides services through many different outlets and is always willing to help. I look forward to carrying a torch every year. Not only is it an emotional time for me to reflect on the journey of my own, but I take this time to think of all of my survivor sisters who are thriving along with me and those who have graced another earth.
I need to raise $500 to carry my torch, but as always my goal is higher than that and I need your help to achieve this. Would you please share this page and donate as much as you can. Let's help Gloria Gemma help countless other women, men, and familes.
