My journey started in October 2018 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my life was flipped upside down! Since then, I have been through two surgeries, 5 months of chemotherapy, and currently in radiation treatment. I still have more surgeries in my future, continued immunotherapy infusions for a year, and long term hormonal therapy. I certainly didn't expect to be fighting for my life in 2019 but here I am. All of these treatments are to keep me alive and to give me the best shot of not having a recurrence in the future. As tough as it's been to go through this, I am thinkful that these treatments and therapies are available.
The Gloria Gemma Foundation had been such a godsend for me during this difficult time. The services and programs that they have for people battling this disease are amazing! I am also grateful to have met some fabulous woman through this foundation; I don't know what I would have done without them. I am honored to be representing Gloria Gemma this year and raising money to support their foundation. Please join me in this fight and donate to this amazing cause.
